Money management should be easy. There are a few basic rules that you should adhere to and you will have the ability manage your money, how much will not matter. It can be narrowed down to one, “Don’t spend more money than what you earn”.

The problem however is that you are human. You have emotions, wants, and needs. You also live in a place called earth, which has certain rules that you need to abide by, the biggest one affecting your money is taxes. Often you make decisions, the wrong decisions, but only because you did not use all the information you needed to make a better decision.

Now that we have that out the way, let us talk about changing you into a robot! Just kidding.

Let us focus on why you need a coach to help you overcome the problems you have in your life. As a financial planner, I have had some principals of money management embedded in me, and always thought I was on top of my affairs, until I discovered my real affair with tech gadgets. This is where I needed to balance my wants and needs. As the world evolves, we will have more wants than needs, and some of the consumerism driven advertising might convince you that you need it and that it is no longer a want.
